HEALTH

Keeping your dog healthy is one of the most important responsibilities you have as a pet owner. Regular veterinary checkups, usually annually, allow your vet to catch potential issues early before they become serious illnesses.  Providing high-quality dog food designed for their age, size and activity level gives them balanced nutrition for energy and a shiny coat. Daily exercise keeps their muscles strong, joints flexible, and prevents obesity.  Prioritizing your dog's health leads to a long, active and happy life together. Establishing a relationship with a trusted vet and sticking to a preventative care routine makes it easier to stay on top of your pet's wellbeing.

Diet

A species appropriate (low carb, high moisture, unprocessed) diet is vitally important to the health and well-being of your pet. Unfortunately, many veterinarians aren’t educated in pet nutrition and although they might mean well, they sometimes recommend dry kibble foods that are metabolically stressful to your pet.  I learn from veterinarians who specialize in canine nutrition for advice on how to feed my dogs.

Vaccination

Vaccines have the potential to prevent unnecessary illness or even death for your pet, however OVER-vaccination is sadly causing more harm than good.  In addition, not all vaccines are the same and each shot should be carefully considered before administering to your special pet.
